Read full description of the books:

It has been a few years since I last read a book in this series, but I was glad to finally pick up this next installment to see how things continue to play out for the Darcys, the Bingleys, and the extended family as the next generation comes to adulthood and the original lovers are now the older generation. Naturally, life is not stagnant for the family and there are ups, downs, danger, sadness, and happy times.

This is very much a series that needs to be read in order. This was book five and it continues several storylines begun earlier.

This segment of the series has the families settling in for the winter when George Wickham the younger arrives after a dust up with his volatile mother and a situation with his sister. Then a radical arrives in the neighborhood and real trouble and danger descend on the family. George Wickham the younger, Georgie Bingley, and Geofrey Darcy are now the young adults on the cusp of adulthood and are the ones to show their worth, prove their maturity, and act as the hope of their parents. The parents are adjusting to the fact that their babies are growing up and must be given the opportunity to move into their own lives.

From start to finish, I found this one delightful and engaging. I loved the shift between the older and younger generations, the spotlight on the many family connections, the dangerous plot thread and the other more subtle, but equally engaging moments. Darcy and Lizzy as parents was not to be missed just as I enjoyed what I was seeing from the younger folks. Wow, Jane has a backbone when her babies are in danger. And Lydia was...well she was Lydia and that can always lend some drama to a scene.

I was sorry when it ended, but happily there are a few more books to go in the series to keep up with the plot threads that were left dangling.
I would recommend these for the Austenesque lovers who like sequels and family sagas.

A book that really liked it!

DARCY

This is a very predictable author. When you get a book for free, you can read it. The intrigue is present, the unbundling is clear.
